Who is Who At Elim
The Elim Pentecostal Church, Wimbledon has a long and rich heritage; we are currently blessed with over 20 nationalities a fact reflected in our leadership!
The following pages are a snapshot of our leadership here.
Our Pastor
Rev Marcus Bennett
Marcus is the son of a British Army Sergeant Major and grew up in Luton. At age 19 in 1991 he moved to Wimbledon to study a degree in Theology with Business Studies.
Three weeks into the course he became a Christian which started a three year discussion with his theology lecturers about whether the Bible is the word of God or not (HE WAS CONVINCED IT WAS!).
He then settled at Elim Pentecostal Church Wimbledon, where he served first as an evangelist, chief usher, deacon, head of a church plant, then Elder.
After his predecessor was called to another church and a nine-month interregnum, Marcus took over the Pastorship of the Church in 2000. The Elim Movement acknowledged his ministry with his ordination in 2004.
He is married to Sue (the church worship leader) and has two beautiful daughters Faith Angharad (5) and Grace Ffion (1).
